ARES Emergency Coordinators in SCARES area
Each city has an appointed Amateur Radio Emergency Coordinator
(EC). The EC represents the ARES Amateur Radio community when
working with local city government officials to establish equipment sites and procedures. The EC coordinates Amateur Radio emergency activities
in his local city.
The DEC (District Emergency Coordinator) oversees an area encompassing multiple cities and meets with ECs to coordinate emergency operations in that area. The AEC (Alternate or Assistant Emergency Coordinator) assists the EC in the city.
